front sway bar dia. stock

what is the stock dia. of a front 87 GN sway bar? i think mine has been changed. while im at it what is rear dia. stock size? thanks, Gregg (was there a handling package option for GN's when new?)

1 1/4" on the front, I'll have to get back to you after work on the rear

Rear stock sway bar is 7/8" I believe.

FWIW, Those are approximate sizes as the original specifications were for metric measurements.

i measured mine with a digital caliper (in inches) and it was 1.25 front and 7/8" rear. i didnt think they came with that big a bar(s). that sounds like same as monte SS bars? is that right?

thanks charlie that clears it up. :biggrin: now what size is the 3rd gen f-body WS6 bar that everyone is putting on their TR's? i think kirban was selling used one's for awhile? maybe 36mm? anyone know for sure?
