Did any GNs come with the radio antenna made into the glass? Reason is, my windshield has a crack now and my glass guy has a new windshield with the radio ant. in it. He will give me a great deal on it.
hello; In Mass. most of us are covered with glass insurance. But I have a story with my 69 Olds. The glass guy comes down and starts saying how things where different when my car was made as I had this chrome pc. that sat nice to the glass and after the install it never sat flat again and the installer didn't know what to do. Thats how it was from then on. sucked

I'm not 100% for sure but if you have a power antenna than you didn't get it in the windshield. I do know on the 84-87 cars there was an option code for the manual fender mounted antenna. I dont have any dealer order albums for the 82-83 Buicks so I don't know if you could have specified a fender or W/S antenna. Maybe the model of radio had something to do with it. If you ordered the base AM-FM radio you got the W/S and if you ordered a reciever with 8-track or cassette you got a fender mount. All of the Regals I have owned with W/S antennas had non tape playing radios in them. I'm not sure what you got if you have radio delete. Kind of like on the 82 Regal when you ordered a floor shift. You got two shift indicators. The one on the shifter console and the one for the column shift up on the fuel gauge.
It's kind of interesting to note that the car manufacturers have gone full circle has far as antennas go. Most of the cars built in the last 5 years or so all have hidden antennas mounted around the frame of the back window or windshield. I only see external antennas used for satellite and mobile communications(On*) unless you have one of the cheapy cars.
