I don't get it. I enlarged the wg exhuast port on the stock turbo so it would stop surging. Put it back on and I couldn't get it to build much boost...I figured the stock wg actuator was toast...full of oil-and some carb cleaner. I bought an adjustable one from John's Perf. and tightened the rod tight enough that you had to PULL it over on to the puck stem. I'm running the car with the elec. boost solenoid bypassed. I'm using a TurboXS boost controller.
There's got to be something simple I'm missing. I've checked for boost leaks and didn't see any loose clamps or anything. I left 1/8th inch around the port for the puck to seat.
It builds boost to 15psi just like before I pulled the turbo off...then it either sits there at 15psi...or slowly falls to about 13psi.
