Trans gooroo's...
New start, all new parts.
PTC converter, SFI flexplate, LS engine.
Had some "help" putting this together, and now find the converter to flex is at 7/32"{.219}.
Can't find the sheet on the converter, but remember that's way too much.:cautious:
AIRC, it should be 1/8,{.125}, to a max of 3/32, {.188}.
B4 I pull the trans, I'd like to get some insights as to the likelihood the excess clearance can/ could cause the leak.
My calcs show I'm looking at .125 to .194 in shims. Seems like a bunch!o_O
Pushed the converter back, slid a 7/32 allen wrench in.

In any case, I'm going to try the shims B4 I pull it. Will post the results.

OH ya, this mofo sounds great! 4" dp, no muff, out in ft of the pass tire.....

Had a text exchange w/ Dusty.
Shimming the converter to 1/8-3/16. Trying another run.

I agree on the shimming, the converter can do weird stuff when too far out, Good luck and keep us posted Chuck.
