fuel injectors

1st, happy halloween well not yet but you get the idea. Anyway

had a friend tell me fuel injectors are fuel injectors. With that said, i believe i have seen TRs with ford injectors, is this true?? will ford swap out to our TRs?? in if i find lets say 30lbs it will just drop right in??? Thanks n happy halloween

Well, true, but not true.
Fuel injectors are offered in the “High” and “Low” impedance variety.
The stock TR ECM is set-up for “high” impedance.
Will high impedance FORD injectos work "if" the physical dimensions are the same? Sure.
Make sure they are clean!

Now;
The 30lb injectors are most likely high Z, so, they should work fine, but, will be 7% bigger than OEM, for a stock chip. …………….. yadi yada yada ………
My advice is that you determine your performance goal, calculate the injector size, and get a custom chip burned by Turbo Tweak.

yada, yada, yada was my fave part haha , thanks a bunch hmm well i was gonna do the whole 42lbs n this n that but this car is great just the way it is, well needs some lite updating but thats it,IMO. well i heard that 30lbs was good enough for stock chip/ECM. 30 is fine with me, not looking to Race much anymore. still want a chip anyway, goals are just to free up what hp i already have. Later go IC(water) n a lil here n there parts. It's just my injectors are from 85, thought it was time for an update.
