Hello everyone...

Here is my car set up

TE60, 50lb inj, Alky, TT alky chip, running at 21-22 psi of boost. I could only get to about half throttle then get detonation. I increased the Alky adjustments and it didn't really help that much. I checked fuel pressure (vacuum off) and it read 43-45 psi. I turned it up to about 48 and the car ran a so much better and I could get to WOT without any detonation. My fuel pressure gauge shows 70psi under WOT

Do these pressure reading seem normal? I just want to make sure that there are no red flags glaring at me.

Thanks in advance for the help.

What scan tool do you have? Post up some numbers or a log if you have either available.

You could have a few problems:
Inaccurate gauge
Weak pump
Low voltage to the pump
Leaking pump to sender line
or just what your car likes...

Red flag... not so much. If it aint Knockin, Keep Rockin!!

If you get detonation... reduce boost. Dont make adjustments while its knocking.

How old is the alky pump? Are you sure its working like it should? Your FP is reading wrong. 21 psi boost and 43 psi fuel pressure=64 PSI.

HTH

Actually if his base fuel pressure is turned up to 48 and his boost is 22 then the 70 lbs of fuel pressure is correct....Maybe the alky pump is on it's way out and you added fuel which made up for decrease in alky due to a bad alky pump???

Yup.. I have also seen where there is a breach to the tubing going from the intake to the 3 bar on the fender create havoc as well. If the tube going to the 3 bar is leaking... the 3 bar wont see the proper boost and then the controller wont be able to spray enough. Factory plastic tubes tend to crack and leak air.

Or the pump has an issue. Not knowing how old it is(years) it is what it is.
