Whats the deal with my fuel pressure, readings seems fine at start up, @ 40psi line On but after driving it around for a while, or maybe running at idle for a bit.... I notice the gauge has a much lower reading @ 35psi lone on from when i started. and it will flicker up and down 1 psi? Is this a bad regulator.... My 02s are a bit rich around 820 or so....
any ideas, Bad gauge? I have a shock proof liquid filled gauge from FullSpeedThrotle.

Hi Paul-

I have a little knowledge about this.

Idle FP runs 37-38lbs.

FP should increase about 1 lb. for every lb. of boost.

I do not know whether a 1 lb. fluctuation is normal. Have you contacted fullthrottle and asked them if this fluctuation is within their gauge's tolerance?

Have your fuel filter, pickup sock, fuel pump been changed...when? Does the car have a hotwire kit?

i have a new walbro pump hot wired, new fuel filter, new injectors and accufab FPR... It might be the gauge, as my TL readings to appear to be different. If it is showing much less FP after warmed up should i notice my BLMS going up?

Sounds normal

Your fuel pressure drops about 1 pound for every 2 in/hg of vacuum you have when not in boost. A TR with a stock cam will have 16-18 in/hg of vaccuum at idle so fuel pressure will drop 8-9lbs below what the static (vac line off) pressure was set to. If you have a larger than stock cam it will drop less.

Just set it at 43# with the line off and if you can, check it at full throttle to see if the pressure equals 43+ the amount of boost that your boost gauge reads.
