had a question if i have vacuum hoses disconnected and or leaking would that affect my fuel presure and if so alot or just a few psi?

Yes it would the fuel regulator is boost/vacuum controlled it will raise your fuel pressure as needed as boost rises one for one so say at Idle you have 42PSI and you take the boost up to 10PSI now you should see 52PSI but if boost pressure is leaking out on the line you may not get the 1 to 1 boost /psi increase need.

Ahh, a bit more added to my confusion! Ok, you are saying that boost should rise 1:1 with boost from idle pressure. This is what I thought. In another thread it was pointed out to me that I was wrong. It should rise the same amount of boost from the VAC OFF setting which is about 5 lbs more than the idle setting with vac on. So, if you are at 42lbs at idle then you must be at about 47 VAC OFF. According to those that told me I was wrong, that means it should be at 57 with 10lbs of boost. Who is right? I think I am gitting to old, Who wants to buy my car?:biggrin:

The other thread was correct. It should rise 1:1 from the vacuum line off reading. Your vacuum line on reading will vary depending on engine vacuum. If you have 42lbs. with vacuum line off then you should have 52lbs at 10lbs. of boost.
