Fuel pump recommendations?

I'm leaning toward the Racetronix kit with the Walbro 340, harness, hot wire kit and ground upgrade kit.
A local guy was also telling me that the RA XP pump is a good replacement pump.
The Kirban kit looks similar to the Racetronix, just slightly different hardware.
Any other suggestions?

I just installed the Racetronix hotwire kit and 340. I would recommend this setup, it has everything you need with the kit.

i would go with a red armstrong xp plus pump it's a great pump price is $145 good luck

Is the RT a truly complete kit, or will I need to heat up the solder gun and pick up a package of heat shrink?

The racetronics kit/pump is good or you can check the advertisers specials where Ramchargers has Walbro 340 pumps for $85, but you have to act fast because its their July special.

Yes, as mentioned, plug and play. I ran my car once with a stock fuel pump, not a good idea. Had some knock at 17 lb boost in 3rd gear. Put in a pump like the 340, and it will keep up with the boost. My car ran over 0.7 sec faster in the eighth with 20 lb boost and enough fuel from a good pump.

I'm not doubting the racetronix kit, but I bought a 340 from Cotton's for like $90 at Norwalk. I made my own hotwire "kit" and it works just fine. Sure you'd have to do some crimping/ soldering, but I like to mess around with electrical stuff. Also I am a cheapass

I originally made my own hot-wire kit from Radio Shack, but after purchasing and seeing the Racetronix version for my latest project, you will not find anything nicer and more complete! It's totally plug-n-play, and they sell the whole kit w/ the GS340M (high volume, high pressure) pump for a very reasonable price! Many folks claim to have "their own" pumps, but if you look into it, you'll find that most of them are the Walbro pump that has been re-labeled. There really aren't that many fuel pump manufacturers out there. IMO You cannot find a better intank pump than the Walbro 340.

Racetronix Walbro 340 kit

I installed the Racetronix Walbro 340 kit as one of the first Hi-po upgrades on my 87 GN. Very nice. Very complete. Directions said to re-use the pulsator but would not fit. Too short. I left it out and used the piece of fuel hose that was included with the kit. From what I've read, the pulsator can be a problem anyway. Harness was plug-n-play. Nice weather-pack relays. Ran the harness inside the frame rail. I don't regret buying it. Came with a heavy duty body ground kit also. Afternoon well spent.
