Installled the TT chip with new ECM(86) the fuel pump wont come on? any idea guys? car runs with lil gas in TB then dies out. It was working with the old ECM, FUnny thing to i believe my 85 ECM chip is a REDS 93. .....since the chip is red with 93 on it R 85. Im gonna change out the pump relays but any ideas will be great, no blown fuses btw

Check your hotwire fuse to see if it's blown, check your fuel pump relay, also check your 30 amp hotwire relay.

HMM fuses,relays are ok. I swap back to the old ECM, fuel pump primes,(turns on) hear it clear. With the other its a no go. Hmm bad ECM????????, its the right # i used my calpak. Any thoughts guys?? mean time im gonna go find another ECM since they are cheap;)

You could temporarily jumper the fuel relay to put constant key on power to the fuel pump to just make sure that is the probem and everything else works out.

What do you mean? jumper? bypass the hotwire relay and put power to it? But if the fuel pump turns on with the old ECM(85) and not the 86 isn't the ECM the problem?? :confused: Sucks, i wanted to drive the TurboTweak T-type around now this.

When you turn the key with the 86 ECM, does the SES flicker once?
If not, pull the chips and make sure they are fully and correctly seated, and check for bend pins.

As far as bypassing the pump, just FYI;
Behind the coil, there is a connecter; Black with a white wire.
Run battery power to it. This will/should run the pump.

Thanks guys, will do.. At the moment im fighting off the FLU. My temps are 102ish, pluse is in the 130-140's pass few days FEEL LIKE crapola:cool:. tHANKS I WILL LOOK INTO all thise, im sure its me,or the ECM wrong. I"LL FIND IT NO worrys. oh and with the 86ECM, SES stays on, doesn't flicker only once then stays on.

....... Black with a white wire. . . . . .

Correction! :eek:
Fuel pump prime is; Black terminal/gray wire!
The green terminal/white wire is the tach signal.
(I think . . . :rolleyes:)
