Anyone know the correct part number for a replacement fuel strainer for a walboro 340? I found another post here that listed the number as FS-111 went down and got one and it is a little different.

Fuel pump strainer

That's the one I picked up. It's not the same but I think it will work. The other stainer is FS30 but where it attaches is too small.

Well I have taken the old strainer to NAPA and Advanced and neither can match what I have up to anything???? I got this pump through Ractronix I think about 4 years ago. Pump works fine but the old strainer is nasty really want to replace before I put the tank back in. Any one out there with a part number or application to give the parts store:confused:

Thats hard to believe, it is a Walbro 340 right? I took mine to Napa and had no problem matching one up.

The only one the guy at napa could find that had the correct metal coller the strainer was vertial instead of horizontal. It looked completely different but the coller was the right size. I am going to try another napa as the one I went to seamed to be more of jobber type of place kinda a hole in the wall. There is a bigger napa futher away, I'll give that one a shot. I will post a part number if I can find one.

I installed a new walbro 340 about 5 yrs. ago and went to Napa for a new sock after I got fuel with alot of sediment in it, needless to say that is how I ended up at Napa for a replacement sock. The part # I have from 5 yrs. ago from Napa is STS-48. Like I said this was 5 yrs. ago, don't know if the #'s are still valid today.

The FS111 works fine. I put two of them on my double pumper. The FS111 looks just like the strainer that came with the Walbro I removed when I installed the double pumper.

EDIT - I see you still have that rubber thang at the end of the pump. That's gonna keep the FS111 from working. I trimmed mine to fit the strainer long ago. My double pumper arrangement doesn't even have those rubber mounts so the FS111 fits better.

EDITED EDIT: Here's a pic of the 340 I took out. It came from a TR vendor with the strainer. Looked like the FS111 so that's what I installed on the double 340s I put back in the car.

Thanks for the help guys, Turbojd I will give that part number a try first. Thanks for digging it up for me.

Turbojim, that is what I will do if this last part number isn't valid. I just try not to cut up anything I don't have to. I know the rubber isolator is probably not realy needed but would like to keep it if possible. I did buy one of the FS111 strainers and the dia. of the opening is the right size and will slip on just not with the rubber there.

You may be able to find a thin rubber washer to use as an isolator in place of the thick rubber isolator at a hardware store, it probably isn't needed though.

GO BUY THE ( FS30 ) FILTER! It will fit PERFECT!!! And you keep the rubber at the bottom just like stock....

I just done it myself. Please try that and come back here and let us know how it worked!!!

The part # above that I gave you for the fuel sock that I used from Napa STS-48, if thats not it try this NFPSTS-48

STS-48 is the correct strainer. Finally! The FS-30 will not fit, the coller will not fit over the bottom of the pump. I don't know why a few are different but they are. I bought my pump from Racetronix around 4/04 it says walboro 340 on the pump body. The STS-48 part number cross references to 93-94 caddy's Eldorado/Seville. Thanks again, the parts store guys around here are not the sharpest. Oh also I was only able to cross ref this at Advanced or NAPA. Autozone had a different filter for that number:confused:

Thats good! Glad you found one that will work!

Mine was also a racetronix pump made in 04' wich would make it a 340m pump. The 340m pumps were milled down to fit the stock filter sock. The replacement for the stock filter sock IS A FS30! Mine pressed right on and worked perfect. Don't know whats wrong with yours but happy you found a filter to fit..

Ok guys not to bring up a dead thread, but figured I'd throw some new recent knowledge in here.

Just got back from Napa and the couldn't get any of the above mentioned parts for at least 3 days... this car is my DD so that wasnt going to work!

Back to the parts room we went, and the first one he picked up was napa parts ST-2. The metal collar is identical, but this thing is much bigger! If I had to guess it might have 150-200% more surface area... more surface area = less restriction. Here is a crappy cellphone pic... It will fit inside the tank as well.
