Fuel Tank Capacity For 87 GN?

Can someone provide me with accurate fuel tank capacity for a stock 87 GN? (original tank)

I'm planning a trip and plan to fill her up a few times- need to have money handy for gas...

by the way- premium is almost or on it's way to $5.00 a gallon just about everywhere up north now!!!! YIKES!!!!

All the documentation I've seen says: 18gal.

If you cruise at highway speeds, you can easily get 25 mpg from the car so figure 450 miles between fill ups. We used to drive our car when it was in 12 second trim, 450 miles to the GS Nationals each year and one year, it rained heavily all the way on our drive home so we took it easy, driving 60 and we got almost 30 mpg!
