Experiences? How hard to install? Performance?
Any tricks needed or is it a smooth install? My oil light is on and it's tapping really bad. I guess it's time. Only 87,000 miles on original motor. I can't believe it. I guess my car didn't like it's 20th birthday. Thanks. Tim

Sorry but what does your oil light coming on and tapping have to do with getting a roller cam.....if you're oil light is coming on you probably have big troubles...do you have an oil pressure guage?...the tapping could be from your bearings that have gone south because fo the lack of oil pressure...might want to do some investigating before thinking about getting a roller cam...

I was just considering getting the whole thing redone since the motor is probably toast. I talked to a few people and they said because of the new epa regulated oil these days, that roller is the best way to go. If it's coming apart, then I like to do it right when it's time. I don't know much about this stuff but my mechanic does so sorry if some things I say don't make sense. I'm learning though. Thanks, Tim

No problem I just misunderstood...I would definitely go roller...more expensive but I think better in the long run...install is really no worse than a flat tappet if you get one of the roller kits...plus no need for break-in...put it in and go...as for performance you're going to get many opinions on this so I won't go there...

Here is my experience with Full throttle speeds cam. I just copied my post from last year. I will not go any where else other than Full throttle.(586) 294-4404.

We have installed over 6 kits from Full Throttle, 0 problems. Awesome combo and great price along with excellent tech support. Mike knows what he is doing when he puts these combos together and he always stands behind his products. We are so impressed with the way the cars pulls especially with the 210-215 ductile roller from full throttle. One of ours went 11.20 @ 119 on pump gas with 19 psi boost only shifting at 4900rpm. The car would have gone 11.00-10.99 shifting at 56-58K.

I would go for it. I have one of their kits in my Buick. Its the 210/215 grind. The only problem that came up was with the adjustable cam button. I had Weber Racing set up the cam free play with a new front cover. The new button didnt come with enough shims to get it into spec. Just had to get a couple of more shims. Other than that the setup is working great. Just wish it wasnt snowing so I could be driving my car.:frown: Whatever you do, dont go flat tappet. You might regret it....ask me how I know!

wickedv6 do you get a lot of noise from the 210/215 cam because i have the same cam and i have more noise then i like, thank you. but the car pull's like a beast.

They all make some sort of noises but nothing crazy. What kind of roller rockers are you running?

i bought and isntalled one of there roller cam kits last year.. Very happy.. good stuff

I run this one in my twin turbo car: FULL THROTTLE SPEED - Item Description Page
I have had ZERO problems with it. It has run 125mph on 19.5 lbs of boost in a FULL weight car (including another turbo, intercooler, throttle body, ect.:p )
I would suggest that you call Mike and order one from him. You can also get your other engine parts you'll need from him too.

I run T/D 1.65 Roller's, the noise sound's like it is coming from the lifter vally, it's not bad I guess i am used to the stock cam. Thank you

Recommended here also.

U will love the power difference over ur current setup. Like anything else involving these cars, there will always be a lil something more U can or should do to ensure Ur getting the most out of the combo. I also suggest U port ur heads, maybe upgrade ur fuel system, and be prepared to build a trans because the power increase will easily put u in the low 11 second bracket.
