How does an item get damaged on the inside unless it was defective before hand?! There is no sense in beating a dead horse on this subject. My point has been made. He recieved a damaged headliner and did not recieve a replacement and did not recieve a seat cover that was sold to someone else after he paid for it. I will not buy from gBody and will advise the same to anyone else. Clint's father, Howard Gaston.

You honestly expect people to buy that you videoed this just in case, only to spot so many different problems so quickly with ability to point out each spot in such detail? Like I said it takes forever to remove the tape but he spots what 4-5 different problems in 5 seconds? No emotion, no shock, just this, this, this, and this. Well I guess I will send it back

If I am wrong I truly apologize as I do not want to bare false witness... I gots to call them as I see them though...

Also, finding out there has been another vendor that had the same type problems with you leads one to making a reasonable assumption about this case...

So why did you videotape the opening of the box? Was it so damaged on the OUTSIDE when you got it that you suspected damage on the inside? Doesn't appear that way...so WHAT drove you to tape this?

Simple, as he stated he gave brian a specific instruction to ship the headliner in a flat box,. I guess he had bad experiences with rolled headliners, Also brian does not dispute that he was instructed to ship it in a flat box. So when he received the headliner in the box that would have the headliner rolled he knew something could be wrong. It does not take long to see defects in something that is suppose to be smooth when you have good light. I can spot 10 or so dings or dent in a car in less than 10 seconds if the light is right. I dont think he would go thru all the trouble of making a bogus video just to recieve another headliner if that one was in good shape to begin with. I am not taking sides but i do understand why the video was shot.

I find that hard to believe. If the box itself was visiably damaged upon receipt I could understand video, but a fine box? Did he PAY for a flat box? UPS, USPS, FEDEX...all of them charge based on weight AND size...so if he wanted a flat box that would have been more expenive.

I'm not a noob to getting parts in the mail and I suspect that nobody posting in this thread is...so real reasons are required. Fact is most people don't assume parts are going to be damaged when they open them. Has this person gotten SO MANY screwed up orders that they record ALL of them?

I ordered a headliner from gbody parts recently. It came in a flat box by itself, though I had ordered other things. I did not request a flat box, just figured that's the way Brian shipped them. It made sense. Headliner appeared fine to me..............of course that's my expierence which appears to be quite different from Clinton's..........

First off I must say that I have no dog in this hunt. But I continually read post after post bashing Clint and most recently Howard. Grim like you said Brian is your friend and you will not stand by and let someone bash him. I agree, Clinton and Howard are my friends, so I must stick my nose in too. At the Nationals, Clint spent a long time with Brian ordering parts and frankly spent a chunk of change. Clints biggest concern with shipping the headliner was how it was going to get from North Carolina to Arizona without getting damaged. It was agreed to that it would be shipped in a flat box for added insurance of no creases. When the box arrived in Arizona and Clint found out it was the headliner, he did video the opening. I watched the video he did not bash Brian or say anything ill about him, cuss or throw a fit. He simply said he would contact Brian to get it straightened out. Seems legit to me. So he did in fact contact G Body about the headliner and the other pieces from his order. What took place after that I do not know, maybe some mis communication..... could have been. All I know is Howard posted his sons experience with G Body and just stated he was disappointed with the product and customer service.
I have bought many parts from G Body. I have always had good experience in dealing with Brian and recommended Clint talk to him about the interior. I have had some hiccups in product, but the problem was rectified immediatly. Brians decision to refund the money for the headliner and the rear seat (I think) should have been the end of this thread. The problem was resolved..... maybe not to the liking of all but it was definitly resolved. Two adults, Clint and Brian have publicly stated they will not do business together again. What more needs to be said??

I wouldn't jump in, there are other gbody threads I never enter, if I didn't happen to know all the other circumstances that NEVER get told...

All this for what ?? If he got a good headliner the first time i bet we would have never heard about that .. I still do not get this .. Why would anyone complain about a good part .. Just to get another one .. It might be just like shane says . We dont have all the facts .. Clint would have to be pretty low to do that .. And i dont think thats the case .. Mr-t is right there is no room for logic here.. Clint file a claim thru the shipper ..i think this problem lies with them .. The box looked like it was used as a prop to keep c-containers from moving in the truck .. I know i did this to keep them from slaming into each other ..

It's been said allot of times that Turbo Regal enthusiasts are particularly harsh on their vendors. Though, at the same time...most Turbo Regal enthusiasts are pretty anal retentive about their cars and borderline OCD about them given that it's somewhat of an eccentric car to own. I know I can be a royal PITA and get unnerved if something doesn't fit just right, doesn't look like it belongs, or I get the wrong item shipped to me by mistake.

gbodyparts is one of the last vendors since Poston's went under that pretty much sells bumper to bumper parts besides Kirban Performance - Buick Grand National Parts, T-Type, Turbo T, GNX Parts, Chevrolet Chevy Corvette Parts, Ford Mustang Parts, Pontiac GTO Parts www.kirbanperformance.com and Antique Old Buick Parts CARS, Inc. (to an extent).

I've bought quite a bit from gbody and there have been a couple of times I've had to send stuff back for an exchange, but I've had to do that with Kirbans as well as vendors like Postons, ATR, and even Kenne Bell when those 3 were all still slinging parts. I've never had a vendor get irate over the phone, or make me feel like they were trying to pull one over on me.

I ordered a headliner from a different website (non vendor). It came rolled up. It unrolled fine and there were not dents or issues. I suspect the piece itself was defective, not from being rolled up. Whatever the case may be, I have not had any issues with GBody on several orders. This should have been worked out by email and phone. Seems simple enough to call and discuss the issue.
On a side note, my boss ordered a ss Craftsman tool chest for work. It took them 3 times to send one that wasn't all bashed in. Shipping is a gamble for it getting to you safe. I would never put "fragle" on a box, you're just asking for it to be dropkicked.

We just sold a headliner due to 2 of their's sagging & dropping after 3 months to a customer. I felt so bad we gave it to him at cost.Common sense on this whole ordeal how the hell did the inside get destroyed? It didn' t leave like that. Their is no way it was worse off after being opened for a week.
Call it what you will. The only problem I have ever had with returns is when it states all returns must be done with in 30 days. Then we get items back months later ir even a year with missing parts. Pull that bs with any company. We are pretty decent. Even after the time period we take items back. 20% restocking or full refund with a credit on file for what was returned.
