Hi,

Is a Garrett 60-1 the same as TA60?

Thanks, Mike

No. A Garrett 60-1 usually refers to the 60-1 compressor wheel. Its name has been used and abused over the years. A te60 uses a small shaft 60-1 compressor wheel. "TA" is a common name given to a stock appearing turbo. the number following TA is also made up and may or may not refer to the compressor wheel inducer in mm. The 60-1 is 7 full blades/7 splitters and 59mm inducer and is usually grouped with the t04e series even though it has a slighlty larger exducer than the other t04e wheels.

Thanks, Bison

I am going to be installing a 5831 w/ precision .63.
Will the Garrett .63 housing from the TA60 fit the 5831?
Just thinking about my options with stock converter.

Thanks, Mike
