Was in this thread http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/showthread.php?t=177344&referrerid=1527 and noticed that the lifts should have the body of the lift towards the top (hood side) and the rod side bolted to the body side 
How did mine get reversed if this is true
Does it make a difference? Seems like the same force is applied and they do fit with the body of the lift on the body side.
