I am installing an auto-meter boost gauge and wanted to know what color factory wire i need to splice into so that my new guage lights up when i turn the head or parking light s on.

Look at the fuse box under the dash, there should be a spot marked LPS.

Once tied into that for power, your new gauges will dim and brighten with the roller next to the headlight switch.

I assume you (like everyone else) is mounting the boost gauge on the a-pillar.

Mine was there when I bought it, but I did mount the two gauges in the console pocket under the radio for Oil & Water. When doing so, I found a wire up above the pocket that lit the pocket up when the head lights were turned on. So, I removed the bulb (since tray is now covered up), and spliced into the line.

I'm thinking you can feed a wire to it.

HTH.

The dash lighting wires are lght gray. I just did the same thing, and tied into a gray dash lighting wire near the radio. Look around, you should have no trouble finding one if you elect to do it that way. Counterman.
