gear ratio - 400

What gear ratio should trans be built with? Will run Mid 9's-car weighs 3450# - stk gears. Basically used at strip..
Would the 2nd gear "Aluminum" drum be worth installing?
Which brake would you suggest- Hipster, Griner, Toley's

in you r case i would run our 2.60/1.60 w/our trans brake .it uses 2 nd gear to hold the drum when the brakes on and is quickly becoming recognized as one of the most consistent ,fast releasing available .we make it in house.we r in ny too .www.ckperformance .com
