I am trying to help a friend out with this issue. I'm sure he will post at some point.

The issue is he has wot spark adv set for 21 degrees from 2k-5k rpms. However the car will not hold that spark adv and quickly climbs to 25-27 degrees at wot.

He has a gen 2 and pnp harness with wideband installed on a mostly stock gn with razors alky. His chip is an extender from fullthrottle.
volt out 1 and v2 are both set to spark control. Setting volt 1 to spark control and volt 2 to setpoint did not reduce timing any.

Anyone have a solution or some insite on why the timing won't stay down at 21 degrees?

The screen shot is of the same run. Initially the timing held 21.9 then started creeping up to 25. I know the wideband is reading really rich, but was concerned about taking more fuel out with the timing not right...

the spark advance is based on the calculated "air load" in the chip, when you lean things out a lot with the Gen-2, the result is higher timing.

Post the log so I can take a look, but how much fuel are you pulling out? Also, what is the chip number?

You can dial the timing down further with the Gen-2 at higher RPM, but probably don't need to. Higher timing at higher RPM works, as long as you have the fuel to feed the engine.

there is a lot of fuel pulled out in the chip, and you are pulling more out with the Gen-2, to cover for the alky,

what injectors are in the car? What wideband?

42lb injectors...009s. And the aem inline.
