getting alky

I am taking the plunge and purchasing the razors alcohol kit, My motor is stock except for cam and ported heads,I have a scanmaster,tt 5.5 chip,9inch K&N filter,42# injectors,walboro pump,hot wire kit ,free flow exaust,TA-60 turbo,3200 stall converter,with a janis built transmission,the car feels pretty quick with 18#s of boost,how much of a diifference should I feel when I add alcohol,I am really excited but don't know what to expect.

depends how much more you turn up the boost. think 10hp per psi of boost.

Last time when i went to the dyno i did some pulls with and without alky. At 20psi and 15* timing i made 500 at the wheels. Did a pull spraying alky and no tune changes picked up like 40hp. Added 5* timing on next pull and laid down 601 at the wheels. Yea this is a ford motor, but you will def notice a difference while spraying. I was happy with the results and saw no reason to mess with anymore boost or timing at the time.
This year im gonna push the motor a lil bit more with a bigger turbo, more boost and play with the alky settings.

i was running out of fuel on the top end and let off at the 1000ft mark and matched my best of 10.71

^ is all about the tune. could run 18's could run mid 11's

typically what would I do as far as tuning my chip do I increase boost as long as I get no detonation,should I turn the timing up,how should I adjust my fuel,and in what gears,I have tt 5.5 chip using a scanmaster to get my info with

thanks man, after I read that post ,it helped me to understand the tuning process my mechanic will be adjusting my chip but now I will also be able to do it myself as well

Why don't you just put some race gas & turn it up 2 lbs each pass and see how it goes.

If you notice a big difference then buy the kit so you can use the alky & pump gas on the street.

Yes, you need an alky chip. The fuel curve is different with alky. Get a hold of Eric for a new chip.

Whats your boost set too?
At what MPH are you looking at the O2's? 60 MPH or 110 MPH?

Not really. A street and alky chip share pretty much the same fueling. A 16 PSI street and a 25 PSI alky chip put in the same amount of fuel.

Problem lies when car is rich at 16-17 PSI and add alky not turning up the boost. Once the boost goes up.. and you lean it out.. it wakes right up.

The alky chip has more timing so it feels stronger. And the 5.5 chip is also a tad bit old.
