I understand that drag radials (or slicks) tires mounted on 15" diameter wheels hook best. However, I really want to go with MT drag radials mounted on 16" or 17" diameter wheels. Is it possible to get 16" or 17" MT Drag Radials go hook on the street? Does a 15" diameter tire hook that much better?

You could get the 16 or the 17 to hook, but how well is the question. It depends on how much power you are trying to put to the ground and how much time and money you spent to get it to work. I think it's easier to use a 15" rim on the street. If your serious about running on the street thats where you need to dial the car in. I see guys set it up great at the track and bring that same technique to the street and not hook. The road conditions have an effect our your efforts too. Make sure your using VHT Trackbite for burnouts, it helps...;)
