Whats the best way to put on muscle (no PEDs) and stay loose?
Most of my physical training has always been durability related so i have never really put on much muscle, not looking to get all cut up but would like bigger arms and firmer chest.
What is the correct way to go about doing this?

I've heard really great things about the Insanity DVD series. It's only a 60 day program and claims to be the hardest put on DVD.

Whats the Insanity series DVD? I'm interested.

And the guy who does the DVD's is way hot...but, that's probably of no interest to you. I have the DVD's...and it is most definitely a hard workout. The workouts aren't too long (30-45 minutes) and you are dripping sweat in the first 10 minutes.

STERIODS! :D

My guess is eat more protien than Carbs.
Maybe a 2/3 protien to 1/3 Carbs mix.

But make sure both are GOOD QUAILITY.

Weightlifting should help making that the same mix 2/3rds
Some bike riding or walking maybe 20 mins to warm up.

I am an EXPERT at putting Fat on these days :( my pants size has gone from 33 to 37...
I am slowly riding my recumbant bike for 30 mins & doing ondemand denise austin & leslie sansone workouts... The problem is I sprint for ITALIAN SUBS.

P90x... good stuff..

P90X is a good one too...Insanity is better, IMO (and doesn't require any equipment)...the guy from P90X kinda comes off arrogant to me...which really got on my nerves. Shawn T. is more of a motivational trainer (for me at least).

I have heard Insanity is really effective if you stick to the program. One buddy wussed out and another friend lost like 3 or 4 inches in her waist in no time.

I checked out the video preview. Looks pretty good. Can that stuff actually cut a person up though? I just shed about 8/9 lbs since 1/1/11 and would like to put it back in muscle. Problem is I don't have the time for the Gym.

Haha he is but if I looked like that at 50 I would be too. I just mute it and put on my Pandora radio... my pull ups went from 5 to 15 per set on one of the discs. Insanity is crazy tried it with my sis. Seems like its pure cardio..

I would say that it would, if you follow the program and the diet. It is a lot of cardio, but there's plenty of strength training in there using your body weight.

Want to put on muscle mass quick and retain it?

Flat barbell bench
Clean & presses
Dips
Squats
Chins
Bent-over rows

Curls if you want to. Your biceps will get worked in all of your pulling excercises.

Do 5-8 reps...4-6 sets and bust your a$$. 3 days a week and break up the the excercises above in those days. Rest and take some vitamins.

If you make it more difficult by following all these programs, videos, guidelines, supplements you will go crazy. I have been there and done that. This workout works. Its also called a prison workout. Watch some footage of those guys in jail. No supplements or videos. Just hard work lifting basic heavy weights.

That no doubt works...if you have extra time to spend in the gym...
