I know we've never even met. A GIANT thanks for your wisdom.

Let me start the story with we are in the process of relocating(story for another thread). I happen to have an enclosed trailer. We were coming fro Midland to DFW area this morning. I had gotten up and got going about five am. Around 6:30 the thing starts pulling like it lost a tire. I pull to the side and this is what I got.

I'm pretty sure it was a post by you that I read a number of years ago that stated that you need at least Two spares in case. Well it just happens I followed that advice and got back under way after about 2 1/2 hours. Ended up pulling both hubs to unwrap the tire belts from the brakes. Glad I also had plenty of grease so the bearings on that side are all packed with fresh.

Thanks again Mr. Leeper. I owe you one.

For those that have a tandem axle, I HIGHLY recommend you look into two spares to save you the frustration.

I've often wondered how someone could mangle a rim but this happened before I could get over to the side. Trashed two and a couple of tires. I'm off to get some new rims and a couple of more spares.
