Well guys im going to order my turbo but i dont know which one will be best for me. wich one of these turbos could put me into mid 11's withought rebuilding my engines since it's stock and im planing to go with a ta alum. block mid next year i wanna run constant 11's. so wich one would fit me best with my combo
(PT-51, TA-49, OR TA 60) THANX IN ADVANCE GUYS.

WICKEDGN,
If you are serious about the TA block next year, I would plan my purchases for the new block - one I could really put the horsepower to :D

Just my 2 cents

Good luck

THANX CPAKCP IM VERY SERIOUS ABOUT THAT BLOCK BUT I WANT A LITTLE MORE THAN STOCK TURBO RIGHT NOW AND IM JUST LOOKING FOR A GOOD UPGRADE SINCE IVE GOT $$$$$$.

TA 60 or TA 49

TA 60 I have one in my car, and my buddy has a TA 49 on his, mid 11's to low 11's with ethier turbo, and they spool like mad... really fassssst..

Just my opinion, but I'd go with a TE44 with a Garrett .63 turbine housing from John Craig.

TE series turbos have the advantage of no turbo bell - your MAF set-up connects directly to the turbo - no bell, no nuts, no gasket, and most important, no transition of diameters, so no disruption of the flow entering the compressor wheel.

The 44 is worth a little more flow and HP over a 49 as unlike the 49, the 44's compressor housing is optimized for the wheel.

A 44 with the Garrett housing will spool great with a stock torque converter and is very capable of mid 11s. There's probably not a better turbo for a stock headed, street driven TR.

Good luck with your choice.

:)
