that would be sweeet, and i would probably buy one for a daily

I love my current Grand National, but I'd probably wet myself if I was able to get a brand new one that is 2005 comfy and balls to the wall quick.

Twin turbo V6 and rear wheel drive.....?

let me be the first to say "Buick, if you build this car I will for SURE buy one."

gm asleep at the wheel

sorry to say but probaly gm will make them fwd like the mc and impala. breaks my heart. im a gm man but ford did a really nice job with the mustang....gm is still:confused:

About the same time when I get my $30,000 retirement option bonus! I think I now know what it will be spent on:) Hopefully the car wont be disappointing if it does go into production.

We'll see!!!!

*vomiting copiously and vowing to call in bomb threats to any dealer that dares sell a bastardized 'Grand National'*

"CANT SLEEP CLOWNS WILL EAT ME!"

What did I do what that T-shirt?

It mysteriously disapeard along with my black sabbath and alternative tentacles t-shirts...

hmmmm....

I really don't want them to bring it back...the Grand National is legendary, I'd rather it was kept renowned than brought back as some retro stunt.

Though...if they do, I'll buy one too just because I don't want to be the only kid on the block without one.

I'll second that idea. I do not want GM to go mucking up the GN name like they did the GTO. I would be pissed. You just can't re-do to Grand National.

if it was to come back it would unfortunatly be screwed up somhow, like fwd, or like others said, look like the UGLY gto. BUT if it was a cool looking ride I would end up with 1.:D

If GM made a new 2007 BLACK grand national i sure as heck wouldnt buy it-
Id want a silver on silver with leather interior turbo limited.... :)

I wonder if they would have a luxury style like the turbo limiteds along with the GNs?

Put me in for one, cant wait to hear if they go thru with it-

I wonder if they could use the TA block as the aluminum block for production cars, and it surely would be cool if the new heads would fit the old cars......

im sure they will use some new tech motor, probably the camless motor weve heard about in the past-

I don't think GM is not going to screw this one up.

It appears as if the GTO is also getting a new look in 08 and will finally be built here. The retro look is on the agenda to get us back to liking them.

Buick will sell everyone one of these RWD Coupes and/or Convertible Grand Nationals because they will be the fastest production car on the planet after $1k added in mods to kill the Z06. Even if its not RWD, the FWD 2.0L is already doing 7.0 E.T.

The TA block falls short of the 3.6L TT Ecotec motor. There are two 2.0L turbocharged Eco's that have the land speed record at 238 and 212 MPH. The Ecofire has been 309 MPH.
I want the Ecotec motor with bigger heads ( 250cfm at .400 ), variable valve train and forged internals.

If they build it, we will come.

there was already a fwd grand national, so would another one really be that bad?;)

a new grand national is better than no grand national, its just another platform for us to drop our lc2 and stage motors in to.

Actually ive seen where GM is "supposedly" creating a DOHC version of the LS small blocks and the 4.3 V6. The possibilities with a 4.3 already built for a turbo could get insane. Just hope the car is up to par. Also im seeing things were the RWD,FWD, and possible AWD cars will use the exact same platform. Imagine a converted AWD blown 6.0L Camaro ripping off the line! Maybe Gm's starting to grow some balls again. Just have to wait and see.
