GN clone or real? vin check?

I was at the dealership buying a new dimmer switch for my 84GN, but they told me GN's were only made in 86-87, needless to say we argued and whatnot, now I'm starting to question if my 84 is a real GN or just T-type, or whatever. It has the newer 86-87 Intercooled motor, so I'm wondering if it was just a clone. The vin is 1G4AK4793EH492327. Can someone help me decode it?

It's definitely a Turbo Regal but you can't tell a GN from a T-Type just from the VIN #.
