Anyone know the part number(s) for the black windshield trim on an 87 GN? That is, the trim on the outside of the car that goes along the top at the roofline and down each side of the windshield.

After taking mine off several times trying to find and fix a pinhole leak at the top of the windshield, it's bent up a bit and doesn't sit right anymore. Went to the junkyard to find some from a donor car but couldn't find anything better than what I already have. Figured I try GMpartsdirect or something to see what it goes for to see if it's worth it to purchase new...if even available.

Thanks
Mike

Yes your part numbers are:
Upper:20736812
Right:20736814
Left:20736815
Lower:20442787
the left and right sides are discontinued and GMs suggested retail on the upper is $207.81!

dammmmmm...I didnt know it was that pricey!!!! I have it new in the GM wrappin... goin on Melissa's new ride...welll maybe:p

$100...$200...holy smokes! Is GM smoking dope? I talked to the local GM dealership and got a price of $150 something or another. I thought there was a communication gap. No way that flimsy piece of metal can cost that much.

Time to email Mike McCoy to see what his price is.

Almost sounds like I'm gonna keep the bent up one on my car now. Afterall, I need money to eat this month.:p

I have the three pieces... sides and top... from my 87T... bright trim... they are in good shape... let me know if you are interested in them. Obviously they will need paint.

Make a reasonable offer +
shipping and they are yours!

Thanks,

Joel

Thanks Joel, but I don't think I can make a reasonable offer. Look what the dealer wants for these things. To me, they're worth about $5 each. I was gonna hit another junkyard or two to see what I can find.

An autoglass co. will be coming by to replace my windshield, and the guy said the trim is not reusable. From what I gather on these threads, they are...if people have used for sale, then obviously they are.

Why would he say that? Mine are in perfect shape as they sit on the car.
