I am installing a GN1 super extreme intercooler and I can't get the turbo side piping to fit. The piping is an inch to short and sits below the intercooler. Has anyone else had this issue???
Good idea. I'll snap some pics tomorrow when I can. The turbo pipe and TB pipe are contacting the sway bar too. hopefully I don't have to remove it to get this to fit.
When I installed one of these units, I had to modify the wastegate mounting holes to relocate it since the compressor housing had to be clocked to an extreme down position.
Not a good design on that pipe, and it should be changed?
I had to reclock my turbo and change my actuator mounting spot as well. Mine was very close to the sway bar as well until I "adjusted" the distance by how far I inserted the pipe into the silicone hose.
I'm on my way to take pics right now, so I'll post them up. It does touch my fans and sway bar. It sits in the right place for the intercooler just an inch too high. The pipe is on the right way. How did you move the actuator?
UPDATE: Got the turbo piping to fit. Just had to loosen the compressor bolts and let it move while I installed the piping. It clears the fans and barely touches the sway bar. The clamps just barely fit behind the pipe beads but it does seal. Just took it for a spin and you can feel the difference over the precision front mount.
Sound about right on the fit. Mine are powder coated and I used sheets on installs and removals. I was the same way the 1st time I installed them...it gets easier now.
