He built me a Shi**y as engine that looked like a 5 yr old with down syndrome put it together that never ran in my car and took my money ,$3,500.00 worth., but he also switched my good roller lifters for used ones that he had laying around but wait!!!, there is more, there were missing parts from my car when I got it back, he took the heatshield that goes above the catalytic convertor and one of the stock hangers that goes in the rear from my stock exhaust system and sold it to another client, I know this because I found out who he sold it too, Do not deal with this individual I repeat do not deal with this person who's name is Archie, he doesn't know what he is doing as far as engine building and will steal parts from your vehicle and he is good for nothing except for selling chinesse parts that he copied from other good moral standing vendors..

all i hear is bad news from gn1 and hye tech that is why i keep away i don't have that kind of money to lose out like you wish luck.

Well, I'm sorry for you "lotusracer" that you had a bad experience with GN1Performance but I just bought a 3" stainless steel dual exhaust system from them and couldn't be more satisfied!...It's a very nice kit which fits great and the only (and minor) issue was that the two tailpipes coming out of the mufflers were a tad too long. We just cut them to the right length and it fits real nice now!

claude, he's talking about work that was done!! not a part that was bought. these are the comments that drive me nut's on this site. why do people have to go and throw a positive comment out there for a vendor that obviously screwed a member over? you want to say something nice about them then post it in your own thread for that vendor. you aren't going to get any browny points for making that post from the vendor, and it just makes the poor guy who got screwed more pissed off

Bought is the key word here, not built , yes some of the chinese part he sells are pretty good i give him that because they are somehow an exact copy of what somebody researched and made, but as far as his engine building skills he needs to go back to school, I mean how can you built and engine and not even have the right tools like a dial indicator to check thrust clearance when you are assembling the motor , I happen to be there when he eyeballed the clearance and said it looked pretty good, when i questioned him about the dial indicator tool, his response was (I don't need one, this ain't my 1st rodeo and i know its right), WOW , I even offered to buy 1 for him as a gift but he declined, anyway, I told a friend about his wonderful technique that he used to check the thrust and word got back to him the next day, and that is why he decided to kick me out of his shop, literally threw my car out and motor into the parking lot and demanded another $1,500.00 if i wanted the motor along with the car, which btw was junk and it never went in the car., when i asked for a receipt he never gave me one and i quit asking for it by the second week, but not providing me with a receipt he was covering his ass so that i wouldn't have proof that he ever did work for me this way i could not take legal action against him in court and at least get some of my money back..

I asked for receipts many times, non was given, at least he knows who to cover his A Z Z, this all started when I let him do some headwork for me and after I drove the car out of his shop that same day my cam went flat, mind you I had a perfect running car prior to that, when i asked him what pressure seat that springs had his reply was "dont worry is the right one" but he never gave me a straigh answer on it, for all i know they could off been set at 120 valve close which is too much for a hydralic flat tapped cam hence the reason for it failing as soon as i drove out the parking lot, upon taken the heads off that he had installed in the car, lobes from cylinder 3,5,2 and 1 had gone flat, so his suggestion was to rebuilt the motor and he would give me a good deal, mind you for this headwork i already paid him $1,700.00 and now he was trying to hit me up for another $4,600.00 to do the motor, I gave him the go with the condition that I be there when he was assembling the motor he said fine, this is went all went south, i kept making mistake after mistake which i kept pointing out to him, at this point i knew i had just make a really big expensive mistake and all i could do was ride it out and pray for the best but obviously god wasnt listening to me that day.

let the truth be told I just want everyone to know, who is good and who is bad so that they dont go through what i have, if that makes me a bad guy then so be it i can take the heat, i love to cook and heat doesnt bother me.

I've been there, done that, learned my lesson, you don't do nothing on a handshake and you don't leave without a reciept and you don't start without a quote. If it's more money than I can afford to eat anyway.

It's called trust, somehow people take advantage of my generosity and trust I need to stop being so nice and kind to them.. he never itemized anything for me, all he said was it would be done right with the right parts and the cost would be a total of $4,600.00 to which i advance him 2k, I tend to trust people a bit too much, thats my problem.
