Thanks for the site. There is a ton of great info there.

Too bad they went to the forum format instead of the old mailing list. I really liked the mailing list setup.

I was on that list 10 years ago when I first got into Buicks:smile: The tech section saves me from time to time still:D

I didn't know there was a forum there:confused:

That list and the old TTA list.... Those were the days!

Id wait up late at night just to see the new stuff rolling in for the next day, thats how i purchased my white limited. Stayed up late at night and when the ad came out, i called the guy at 12am in the morning:eek:

Was on his doorstep next morning with cash.

Man that was awhile ago.

The site is there. I imagine you mean the forums?

When they are set up and ready.

I meant the site itself. I was not able to access for a couple of days, but I do see I am able to get to the tech info that I needed now. Is there a time frame for when the other will be set up and ready?

All I can say is thank you to everyone who runs both boards. The amount of information is incredible. I don't have any other buick enthusiasts around this podunk town, and it's nice to get some help from everyone here. This is a kewl place to hang out!

gnttype.org was the first Buick forum I posted on when I was looking at a 84 T Type back in 2003 and was the first I went to when I bought my 87 T last year. Thanks for keeping it going Scott and all involved.

The digest was emailed daily or weekly, I believe. It was informal and left simple. That and IRC were my introduction to gnttype.com 10 years ago. Things evolve, but not always for the better....

I just did a search for gnttype.com and it looks to be of benefit when you are interested in both turbo buicks and naughty older indian women. Rarely if ever does that happen for me, so I will have to agree that gnttype.org is better

Is it just me or is Turbo Regal Web Site still No Worky?

I've been trying to get to the message boards there for several days and just get an error message saying it's being rebuilt or something. If I try the go To Website button, it just re-opens the same home page in a smaller window.

Wasn't there a girl (Sara) (who was rumored not to be a girl and just hiding his/her own identity) on that mailing list?

Can't think of her last (pseudo-)name offhand.

And don't forget that before the mailing list, there was the newgroup rec.com.gnttype or something.

The technical Turbo Buick data on gnttype.org is second to none. I have used it for over 10 years. It's always a great source to learn something new about your car. Hopefully, someone will submit some new 12, 11, and 10 second recipes with current parts and technology. The old school recipes have definately been helpful over the years. Scott - you do an excellent job keeping this site going for all these years.

Thanks, Craig

Scott, if it makes any difference - i REALLY like the lack of BS, Political Talk, Religious talk and inside humor of your board... and in the past few months it seems like traffic has picked up a lil' also.

Theres a bazillion websites for political, religious, porno, etc. Incorporating it into a otherwise pretty cool website like this one is pretty tacky imo. :frown:
I started coming here cause there seems to be alot more traffic in the 84/85 hot-air section, and thats the car that is my main focus right now. but maybe I should start spending more time over at gnttype. I really like Kellers approach to keeping it "all about the turbobuicks".

That is because its being rebuilt or something.

The board was VERY downlevel, and severely in need of an upgrade. The new site will be set up with a board at current technology. Be patient...we'll let you know when its back. We're rather do it right than do it half...way.

If you need a hand or are getting overwhelmed shoot me a PM. We have built over a dozen sites running VBulletin. I'll configure it anyways you want and have it back up in a day! :)

That was the first Buick board i was ever part of and gnttype.org was a key part in my learning about Buicks ~11+ years ago.

GNTTYPE is still considered by most as "The Holy Grail of TR's"

You said it. Every time I meet a Buick newb, I tell them to check out GNTType.org. When I first started, I printed out every tech and performance recipe article and memorized them.
