i am thinking of getting a set of gnx flare, has anyone bought any before and how do you like them.

Got a set from Postons a couple years ago. They fit good and are holding up well.

Took me all friggin day to get mine to fit "close" to acceptable. I got mine from Poston's (who uses a guy from Florida) and still have trouble with the right rear trying to come off where it is taped.

Overall, I'm still happy with the fit....just DON'T expect a factory fit....not unless you spend the big dollar for a real gnx set (which is nowhere to be found).

For the price and assuming you like the look, they look very nice unless your 1 foot away.

Check my website link if you want some pics.

Taped? Why did you have to use tape? Before painting, I spent a bit of time trial fitting mine, filing and sanding where required to get them to fit flush to the fenders.

Also, applying generous amounts of primer and sanding helps hide any fiberglass weave appearance that the gelcoat doesn't hide.

I had a body shop prep and paint the things, but the wheel openings didn't match the curve of the flares. I had to really (and I mean really) put some force into getting the rears to fit. Actually, I had to buy more 2-sided tape after the first trial pulled completely away from the body due to the excess tension.

You must have got some that fit better than mine. A sales rep at Postons told me they recently switched to the new vendor around the time I picked mine up. I don't know....I guess it is like the rear fiberglass bumper that doesn't "mold" correctly around the license plate opening.

Do you know where your flares came from?

I am looking at a set from danko, does anyone have one of those and how do you like them.
