Is there any way i can tell if a pair of gnx wheels i've found for sale are real or knock offs? the guy says they are real and he wants 500 bucks for the set. thanks.

ya thats what i figured. no way to visually inspect the wheels for authenticity though in case he is just that dumb?

The off set is stamped on the rear of the wheels. Even if they are knock offs, at that price, (if they are nice) buy em!

ya thats kind of what i figured. will gnx wheels fit a gn withouth the wider fender flares?

Yes, the flares are cosmetic, they don't really add clearance. I say go for it! I have the 16X9.5 on the rear of mine, and its a very tight fit with the 295/50/16 MT Drag Radial, but with the 255/50/16 that the factory used, or even a 275 M&H drag radial, you would be fine.

Even at $500 I would buy them.

Mine are American Racing 16" with 255/245's and look great on my GN (purchased back in 92')

No spacers / no rubbing..

agh, I know I'm gonna get in **** if i buy them. I'm supposed to be saving for college. i might just do it anyway though.

got them for 350 using the missing center caps as a bargaining chips, they look mint, have to clean them up a bit but the guy bought them under the impression that they were real gnx wheels, but i cant find the stamp on the ofset but the rear of the wheels are covered in gunk. gonna clean them up real nice.

Nope, you will have to get center caps for a GTA. That is if they are real GNX rims or GTA rims. If they are the repros from Kirban, Enkei, American Racing, etc, you'll have to find caps from whichever company made them. However, if they are from any of those companies, you're going to want to get rid of them because they look like crap. Post a pic or two, we can tell you what they are.

I cant get pics right now (battery is dead) however on the back of one of the wheels (on the rear of the honeycomb pattern) is marked "Front Only, 27, LM, Japan, Off Set 0, 8jjx16" all of those being on separate spokes. and the rears are marked in between the bolt holes with similar markings.

Ok Picture time! If you need anything specific to identify them let me know. thanks guys.
