going nuts waiting on transmission

trying to find something to keep my mind off it. I have been waiting about a month now, and the power tour next week. keep hearing its almost done. he told me last night he wasn't stopping until it was done, and he sent me a text at 2:30am (call me tomorrow). I waited until after noon today to call. now its 3:15 and nothing. I have to drive over one HR to pick it up and time is running out. I have changed stuff on the engine and need to tune it. (3 bar map, replaced the fuel sys., AL break drums, and some other small stuff. the car runs and dies so I want time to fix any problems.
