TE-44 turbo running 25-27 lbs of boost on a stock motor (100 lb valve springs)...50 lb injectors, PTE 110 race chip, 26x8.5x15 slicks, 5 gallons of 116 race gas, stock intercooler, newly rebuilt tranny...locking the converter after 3rd gear...it's supposed to be in the high 40's tomorrow night...guess at the times i should be running

Low 12's to high 11's.

Since that is what is possible with stock parts, it shouldnt be a problem with aftermarket parts.

I'm predicting the 26" slicks are going to keep your trap speeds around 113- 114 mph, so I'll say 11.87@113.65

I can see into the future.........

With the amount of time, money, and elbow grease you have put into your car......here is my prediction...

I would think mid to high 11's..... but ......just as you are turning into Morocco....you will get rear ended by a bright Green Honda with a wing and stickers.....and never get to race.

The GN will be a total loss and you will buy a Ford Focus.

(Flips over the next carrot card)

On a positive note I see you will salvage the GN's motor and tranny and drop them into the Focus....

Have fun and no BANG!

JUst my $.02 but i would NEVER run my car with less than a half a tank of gas. 5gal is only a tad over a quarter tank! If the car leaves hard you might uncover the pickup and if your going to run that much boost i hope your running vp c16 and not that torco crap. Good luck!

Well?
What did it run?

yeah i would be running 28" slicks if i had them...but i was limited on funds

and yes i am using the 116 torco gas...what is wrong with that?

yes i am running tonight (saturday night):)

this is good, this will give me a ball park because i will have almost the exact same combo as you in a couple weeks.... but of course i will never have high 40's down here

I dont know about the 116 but torco 112 is 109 motor octane and 118 research octane. the motor octane is the important number and it isnt even 112!! Vp C16 is 117 motor and 117 research a much better formula if you ask me. I'll check torco's website for the octane on their 116. OK Torco Mach 116 is 115 motor and 120 research, I dont like fuel that has a lower motor octane that the name of the fuel states and c16 while pricey has never let me down. Not trying to rag on you i just dont want to see that you damaged your motor running 27 psi ( which is REAL high):D

courtesy of torco's website:

Mach 116

Color : GREEN
Specific Gravity : .735
Pump Octane (R+M)/2 : 116
MON : 115
RON : 120 +
Reid Vapor Pressure : 7
Distillation : F
10% Evap : 170
90% Evap : 221

End Point : 244
Dielectric = -0.0

i guess MON is motor octane which is 115 which is not bad is it? i'm not running hardcore mods or anything...just a stock motor with high boost

just to reinforce squeeze87's first point....5 gallons is not enough fuel in your tank to launch safely.....10 gal min

NEXT TIME WE"LL ASK KARNAC THE MAGICIAN

We live next door to the Amazing Kreskin, so we asked him...

He drinks a lot now, but before lapsing back into a drunken stupor he muttered...

"12.04"

HTH :)

PS: GOOD LUCK & GO FAST YOUNG MAN!!! :)

i knew i could count on you bill:D

Carrot card was a joke. I was reading from my pretend Tarot (Carrot) deck to predict what would happen to Don.

In all seriousness....you had better run at least high 11's or I will mock you at the Fall Fling :-)

Be safe bro and hey....watch out for that guy in the other lane!!!
