Either nick micale, ptsxtreme, or donny wang. There might be others but these I know of are top quality and you will not reget using them

on the west coast

PTS- bruce Toele- sacramento
DRW- Donnie Wang -Santee ( san diego)
AZGN- Nick micale- Phx

and yes I know Brent just said that! LOL

What's the story with Harold's tranny guy? How come nobody will say his name? I don't get the whole "SoCal Underground Tranny Network"

not sure about that so called "SoCal Underground Tranny Network"

anyways as far as nick micale he has built me 2 trannys and 1 for a freind of mine. it shifts perfect and hasn't missed a beat. I have always wanted to get a tranny from bruce @ pts but havent had the funds. Nick has always done me right and has been there more times then i can remember. Also bruce has been there for me as well. i will continue to order parts from him. bruce has sold me several items over the years with nothing but top quality work. also i havent had any work done by donnie wang but i know he is a great tranny build and i have seen his car run. if you have seen his car, you know he takes pride in buicks

"Tranny guy"?? I bet. That's makes perfect sense if it's part of phuckstick's(kevolds) "network". Probably a gay porn ring or something... I'd stay away from that clown or anyone else he associates with.

It really sucks now that len isnt here anymore.
Len is a great guy now paying the price for taking drag racing too serious & ignoring his business .He got mad at me when I tried to warn him. I have seen more than one person sucked into the abyss by race cars. How do I know these things. I have been there & done that. You can't pay the rent with a bunch of old E.T. slips or egos. Customers have to come first or it just doesn't work. They just simply go away. I really do wish him well.

Im not the one who rides in a little yellow truck, all you need it the big shoes and the yellow outfit. LMAO :D But really if you ever need a good transmission guy, let me know, the only reason I keep his name underground, is because he asked me to do so and he wont work on anybody's stuff unless you come from a good reference, i dropped some good change in his shop and made him work extra hard to meet my needs but i couldnt be happier now with the way his convertor and transmission work in my car.. ;)

As for my transmission guy, yes he is really Freaking good at what he does, he will even built you a convertor to go along with it, meanchicken is a true testament to his work 25k miles beating up on his GN after the trans was installed in his car and to this day it hasnt skipped a beat, I know for a fact that when he met me he didnt know i would push him to the limit to better built the 2004R, but after the fact he thank me for it, his reply was that he never met someone as picky as me and that he had to do things to the transmission he neven done before to satisfy my needs, lets just say it was for the better of it, My trans shifts like a dream and i have never been happier, i tried Lenn, Art Carr, and they both didnt work and never worked perfect the way I wanted it too, after the new guy was done with it, he pointed out all the bad things that were done to it by the 2 previous builders and I couldnt believe my eyes and ears, this guy is a straight shooter and wont lie to you about anything, as a matter of fact, if you get at him the wrong way, he will tell you to take your business somewhere else and that will be the end of it, just let him do his job and i can guarantee you that you will never be happier after he is done..

I thought about all the options that would require a long drive...but didn't want to drive....

I also thought about buying a trans from a good builder and installing it myself...

Since I didn't want to risk doing something 1/2 stupid (I'm 1/2 stupid ya know:redface:) during the installation that would take out my thrust bearing or cause the tranny to burn up prematurely due to not setting things up correctly.....I went through my friendly local paying TurboBuick.com paying sponsor, Pappa Lou, and he hooked me up with the secret So Cal tranny guy who's name is not to be spoken.

The guy did the trans and built me a nice 3200 billet stall converter to go with it, Lou did the R&R.... and I've been smiling ever since. See....:biggrin:still smiling:biggrin:it kinda hurts now....:biggrin:but I can't stop it...:biggrin:ouch:biggrin:

1/2 stupid you re still on probation. & if you reveal the secret trans guy your tongue/beak will be ripped out, sewn back in & ripped out again.

....uh....you didn't make him do that thing you do to your motor whenever you get it out and onto the engine stand....did you.....?
That's nasty.....:frown:
