Well got pulled over AGAIN last night. I was on the way home from the ER after getting metal in my eye (porting heads). I passed a cop going the opposite direction and I was accelerating a little more then I should have  to about 45 in a 35. Well I see him turn around so I pull over and wait. I gave him my license, registration, and insurance. He comes back and tells me my license is Suspended  and to top that off my car isn't inspected.

I was shocked at what he said next. He says " I'm not gonna tow the car but I'm going to leave in that direction". He then pulled away WITHOUT giving me a ticket :D And letting me drive away:cool: . This cop was as cool as the other side of the pillow.

Were you in a TR?

I wish. I was in my 240sx. I'm porting the heads on the buick right now so thats down for the count right now. This cop didnt have a chip on his should at all. One of the coolest cops i've been pulled over by, I wish they all could be like that.

What's so bad????? Here in NJ, we don't arrest anymore for a suspended driver's license. I usually issue a summons and tell them to either park the car or have someone respond to drive the car. I then drive away. Who knows what happens after I leave.

I have a new respect for them as well. Remember there is a bad apple in every orchard. Just like in the buick community.

I was driving my new ride on its maiden voyage and broke down on a large bridge span. Long story short I needed help as the emergency lane was very narrow. With all the rich old non driving RV bandits coming over the white line it was not much fun. I called the FHP and they showed up and assisted me to get off the bridge. I lost an ignition module and killed the starter trying hopelessly to restart the car. Very understanding and professional the troopers went above and beyond to get me to safety. I arranged towing as well as a ride. It was a rough night but big props to them for making sure both myself, others, & my car was safe. They even encouraged me. Sitting there with all the non driving morons going by and not getting over a lane as state law requires made me see what they deal with on a daily basis. We all don't want to get pulled over for anything no matter what the offense might be but in the end we depend on them to keep us safe. Not an easy job as it is a balancing act.

Theres nothing bad about it. They do things a little different in PA ;) They normally frown at people with a suspended license and no inspection. Now I have to get my license back somehow thanks to a little state called Delaware  , They never got my payment for a speeding ticket a couple of months ago (I was picking up a part for the T-type). On another note I never knew you were a cop Billy.

I agree with Billy, I work in Vegas and i hardly ever tow a vehicle but Nevada Law lets us tow if they have no dl insurance or registration or any one of the above three, dui obviously or arrest. i usually try to get a family member there just to lessen the amount of paperwork. But we are pulling a lot of stolen honda powered cars off the streets with stolen or defaced engines or transmissions. Can you say 40 cars in 3 weeks! Glad i own Buicks!

Btw Billy how long you been on and which agency? Im with Las Vegas Metro been on for almost 3 years, did 2 years prior with Secret Service in D.C. was fun but cost of living killed me!!

At least you had a good experience. I broke down a few years ago on a major highway here in CT in my TR (crank sensor). I put the hood up, emergency flashers on and counted at least 5 state troopers pass me by. The 1 freakin time I wasn't carrying my cell phone! Finally a co-worker spotted me and I used his cell to call a flatbed. You have no idea how Pi**ed off I was. Guess they were to busy looking for speeders. Nice to know they're there when ya need em.......
