governor replacement

Hello,

I think i threw a spring on my governor causing all of my trans issues. I was wondering if you needed to drop the valve body to replace it or can i access the governor with just removal of the pan?

Egg shaped aluminum cover @ rear of trans held in with 4--13mm head bolts. Remove bolts and governor will come straight down.

Also, the spring may get caught in the filter, so if it's missing look there.
