On my 325-4L which is just like a 200-4R but looped around for a FWD (so you 200-4R guys should have some insight on this one) I am trying to raise my shift points, I put a set up lighter springs in the governor and it worked wonders for my 1-2 shift, It raised it up just to were I like it, 1-2 went from 4600 to 5000rpms with the spring swap, but my 2-3 only went from 4400 to 4500rpms
I was expecting to raise my 2-3 to somewere around 5000rpms also becuase I need the extra engine speed to keep from catching 3 early and droping under my powerband. So heres what I assuming- I think that one of the springs on the governor has more of a effect on the 2-3 shift then the first to second, If im right(not sure)do you know which spring that might be? Or what can I do to get my 2-3 shift to match my 1-2 or at least be within 200rpms apart?
