Alright, my girlfriend's car has a problem. Usually, after the turn signal clicks off, you can still hear the clicking it makes when it's on. I'm not sure what exactly makes the clicking, (relay, flasher, switch). No other bulbs flash, (inside or outside), it just keeps clicking for a little bit. What could be wrong? Thanks.

I'm not sure if your car has the turn signal module or not. It can't hurt to replace it, they're not that costly unless you have the electronic kind.

For the mechanical type, there is a type of switch that makes that clicking sound. When energized, there is a strip of metal that is actually bi-metal. When energized, the strip moves towards a contact completing the circuit then cools off moving the strip away from the contact, then again heating up and moving towards the contact repeatedly. Perhaps this mechanism is going bad and simply needs to be replaced.

Sorry for the poor explaination, I can see it in my head a lot better. Just give it a shot and replace it. Remember there may be more then one.. one for the hazards. Also make sure none of the bulbs are bad. No trailers attached, right?

Aren't those the flashers? The silver round things?

I was thinking of trying that. Thanks.

What year is that Grand Am? I know there was recently a recall regarding turn signal mechanisms on some newer grand ams. If it's a newer one you should call a dealership to see if that is in fact a recall issue.
