As usual it was a fun time at BG this year!! Weather sure ruined the racing, but the commradere(sic) was great as usual!!

Able to say hi and shake hands with a bunch of old friends and internet buddies, and put faces to names.

Was able to say hi to my old buddies Jack Cotton and John Gallina, sorry ya'll didn't get to make some competition runs! :frown:

Wasn't able to track down Shane G., Jay C., Bob Bailey and a bunch of others:frown: . Really wanted to say hi to you guys!!

Myself, my financial advisor (boss) TurboKathy, my Daughter (Turbmichelle), and Son-in-law (GNX405) had a great Fri night supper at Double Dog!! (what a great selection of brewsky's btw):D
This was Kathy's first trip to the Nats, and was horrified watching OC's wreck, but was so relieved to hear he was OK. I had a tough time trying to explain to her how those certified chassis' are able to do such a good job of protecting the driver. KUDO's to OC's son for a great job building a good cage!!

I still really feel fortunate just getting to this years nats, what with being unemployed and all.

John(GNX405) was FINALLY able to put the final "checkmark" on the sheet of his 8 year frame off restoration of GNX-405, by getting it into the show Fri, and capturing 2nd place. We're speculating that it might have been the interior that could have take a point or two off. The interior still had some original equipment (steering wheel, door panels) in it. Still looked good for a 100,000 mile car though!! Congrats John, now, on to the next project. Gotta get "Mable" (Turbomichelle's 87 T) up and going!!

I think next year we'll get brave and drive Kathy's pristine 87 to the nats! Keeping our fingers crossed!

Scot, you snuck out early!?

Fun times were had by all!!

Dave, Kathy, John & Michelle it was nice to see all of you this year enjoying the Nats. This was also my wife Gina's first time to the GS Nats. Well I guess both our wives were initiated correctly by those torrential down pours!

John, VERY NICE work on your car! Congrats on the Silver win in the car show! You deserve it bud! Now it's Mable's turn!! ;)

Dave we packed up early but ended up heading out around 5'ish or so. There was ALOT of packing and loading to do so we just got a head start.

I wasnt there so you'd have had trouble finding me ;)

Wow, Dave I wished I knew you were there:frown: I would have throughly enjoyed meeting you... Maybe next year... Just look for the big red head country boy on a golf cart:biggrin:

The weather really took the wind out of our sails though fri and sat.
Wish I could have met a few more folks to put name with faces.

That's funny, cuz I saw your twin...well your old heavy twin. Guy was riding a 4 wheeler I had to do a triple take to make sure it wasn't you!

I had a great time as well!

Thanks for the congrats and helping out around the car. It was great that we were able to spend some time together.

Don't forget, the seat covers are original too.

BTW My camera's memory card failed completely. I lost the photos I took, including the one with Kenny Duttweiler and me in front of my car.

Mable is now parked next to the workbench and is the next patient.

Good touching base with you at the Nats. Thanks for checking out the car.

I appreciate the compliment and the congrats! It's been a long time in the making and I am pleased with the results. Mable is next, and I hope this one will be quicker than eight years.
