Green tach connector behind alt. not working?

I installed my shift lite in the 86 T-Type that I bought recently and plugged it in the green connector behind the alt. just like I did on the other TB's I have had but it didn't work. I removed the tach from my Road Runner(which surely does not need it considering its in about a 100 peices!) and tried it pluged into the same connector and it didn't work either. Where should I pick up the tach signal for my shiftlite now? Thanks Steve

Try the tach wire at its origination at the ccci connector...same white wire....seems like it is about the fifth one from the end of the connector....I am not looking at the book, tho.

Wire goes from ccci to the test connector and back to the dash tach via the bulkhead connector.
