anyone running one of these and what kinda times have you gotten....just got one put on dads 86 gn with 50lb injectors rjc power plate, smc alky kit and the rest is stock....

Where did you get the turbo from and how much did it cost? Also why did you go with a 32? Garretts compressor map for a 32 looks like that things dead by 400 hp. A bolt on only motor with alky should go over 400 hp pretty easy.

ttt

got it from precision it has a larger housing...should easily beat my te44...we will see...spool up is awesome....

price

837.50 for turbo plus new wastegate...for another 79.00

turbo

went with this one...dads car...driveability and this should be enough for him....this thing should get me to 500hp....

I have one on my TType. This turbo is supposed to make more power than a TA49 /44, but actually spool up much faster. The exhaust wheel is rather small ,compared to a 49-44, but it appears that the exhaust housing is all toghether larger. It may just look larger because of the different center section. So far im very impressed with its street manners and appears to make quite a bit of power. I havent taken the car to the track yet.

thanks

where in fla are you...my dad lives in mt dora....

Are you running a GT32 from precision or are you running one the way garrett makes them? Also maybe I should ask to make sure, but if you buy a precision one, aren't they modified to bolt right on?
I'm really curious to see if any one has tried an off the shelf garrett GT turbo. You can buy one pretty cheap. Like a GT30R ball bearing turbo which is actually rated about 80hp higher than the GT32 for I think $1200. GT35 for $900, GT35R ball bearing for $1500, GT37 for $725, GT40 for $816.

That GT30R ball bearing seams like it would be a crazy little turbo to try out.

GT37 for $725, GT40 for $816... That GT40 is a solid 650hp turbo with the latest and greatest wheels PLUS the housings that where made to go with them.

Those seam cheap compared to PTE prices. Plus $1200 for a brand new solid 500hp ball bearing turbo is cheap compared to one of turbonetics $1700 BB's. Especially when you once again consider this is for the latest GT wheels and such.

Better ditch those blue top injectors, they're about to get run over buy that turbo!

I hear ya on that, whats the safe et. for these blue tops., I'll need to take it easy for a while.

I just put on a GT 3255.....55 being the exhaust housing size. I went from running an 8 flat to instant 7.50's at around 20 psi, without really even tuning it yet. I can already tell I need bigger injectors. Spools like a mutha.......very happy with it so far, to say the least.

The new turbo and injectors got me from 8 flat to 7.50's. All those other mods listed above were already done. I also have a new tranny rebuild, which has helped a lot also. I have not gone above 20 psi yet. I would like to have Razor's alky setup. And I really want to get my direcscan set up before I up the boost so I can see what the fuel injectors are doing. I bought them from a buddy at a very reasonable price. Shoud have saved my money for some 50#'s. Oh well, it's only money!

:)

ran 8.01 at about 85 mph hitting the brakes braket racing in the 1/8th tonight...best before the gt 32 and 50lbs injectors plus turbotweak 50lb alky chip was 8.78 at about 80 mph on alky with stock turbo and green stripes....really fun turbo...

What do you guys think about a GT35 with 009, and stuff in my signature??

thanks!
