Sorry guys, didn't mean to bait you all and then not give you a response. I left work early on Friday to go check out a new dog with the girlfriend. We ended up adopting her (a 2.5 year old female pitbull). She's awesome and gets along well with my male pitbull. The problem is that together they are CRAZY and I've been chasing them around all weekend.
BTW he just rolled back into town with it, the car is SLICK. It'll be no GN at the dragstrip, but he'll embarass a lot of folks with it.
That "1-yr only" thing was kinda a technicality I guess. The car was available for more years I find out later, but only one year was it available with the motor that achieved the initial "clues" of sub-7 sec to 60 and 150 mph top speed. MY BAD...sorry...faulty info from the BUYER. I know jack about Audis.
The Audi 200 with the 20valve 5-banger. The torque curve is FLAT at 227 ft-lbs from 1900 RPMs on up. I had never heard of this car, but it's pretty much a precursor to the S6. All you guys that guessed Audi were on the right track. He said that whoever guessed the 5000 Quattro should get partial credit, because the 200 was basically a re-tooled Audi 5000. I can't wait to check it out.
No amount of evidence will ever persuade an idiot.

I saw a young guy at NED with wagon version of that a year or so ago. He had a big intercooler on it and some tweaking. It ran 13.9 and scared alot of V-8s. I think the plate said EVILWAG or something similar.
I remember them well and they could barely crack into the fifteens. I highly doubt sub-15 performance from any early '90's Audi sedan with the exception of the S4 that I had posted about above.
I looks like a clean "old school" Audi he got there.
