What's going to happen to my aluminum on my engine (intake, KB throttle body/plenum, valve covers) by leaving Gunk on there to dry? I went to the car wash, sprayed 2 cans of Gunk on the engine of the GN, proceeded to deposit $2 worth of quarters, and NOTHING happend:mad: . I was out of time (lunch break) and didn't have any more quarters to try a different stall. Now I smell like Gunk, and I'm wondering what my aluminum pieces are going to look like.

It's another 2 hours before I can spray off the "residue" with the hose at home, and it's a little under 100* today, so by now it's already dry.

Gunk is pretty much diesel fuel. You'll probably have a nice brown film most everywhere. But it says to spray off after the engine is warm, so it's not all bad what happened, outside of your "aroma" at the moment. Don't go to Happy Hour. :p

That's good news. After seeing what de-greaser does to bare aluminum I was worried!
