It's funny.. for everyone of you that are laughing at this car....Car enthusiast's are buying every single car ford has available. These things are huge success's. Just because it isn't your niche, doesn't mean it is isn't their niche.

People who can afford to buy these cars are smart enough to know that they can build a car (or, more precisely, have one built) just as fast for less money. And since they are that smart they are also smart enough to know that when they spend, say, $40K to build a 9 second car it will probably never be worth more than $20 - $30K to anyone else.

These Mustangs, on the other hand, being factory built racers, will probably appreciate in value... possibly substantially.

Besides, for most of the people who buy these cars $100K isn't a lot of money to begin with.

What about the ZR1 and Z06 carbon Corvettes? Either of those will eat that Mustang, plus have a warranty and streetable.

but the reality is that unless you've got connections within the car company or a famous name and deep pockets, you will have to build your own.

And this guy has connections.. he gets all the tune adjustment free, clutch adjustments free.. it has a factory 2 step like Bob Baileys... oh its mean, the Ford team is doing mid 8s in that car, he just pulled a ten flat with crappy launch and bad 60 ft. but not street legal is dumb

I hate when people compare a Mustang to a Vette. Your comparing apples to oranges. A Stang is a 4 seater, a plastic fantastic Vette is a two. The only reason people compare a Vette to a Stang is because the Camaro and Firebirds got the axe from GM. The Camaro and Firebird couldn't compare to the sales of the Stang. I would gladly put my Cobra, that i've only got 30 grand into to a 75,000 dollar C6 Z06 and wax its *ss. Oh wait... I already have waxed a C6 Z06's *ss
