Clarification for the IC'd readers :tongue: :eek: ;
On a stock HA style set-up;
The PCV never sees boost but LOTS of vacuum, since the source is BEFORE the turbo, in the TB.

So, I thinking and wondering :smile: ;
- Does anyone with a HA run a Felpro 1200 intake gasket on a stock HA set-up?
If yes ........
- Any PCV-Oil issues for those with a DD?

Yes, I know I can disconnect the PCV, add a catch can, run the engine without oil (old racer trick) :eek:, but that is not what I was wondering about :tongue: :biggrin:

WOW!
So no one in this section runs a Felpro 1200 gasket on ported heads? :rolleyes:

I dont know about a "H/A" car but on the carb systems, if i use the 1200s with out a valley tray I pick up lots of Oil, the tray made by Automotive Machine and Performance, really made the difference.

Hope that helps a bit Jerry.

Thanks A.j. :cool:
I was wondering about that and read a few post on it.
I think that in the HA set-up, the oil usage/suck-up gets significantly multiplied since it will suck oil 100% of the time, not just at “Vacuum - 0 boost” like the IC’d set-ups.

I'm getting some oil in mine. And I am using the felpro vally pan gasket!:eek:

Understand. :mad:
What i did a while back is cut a piece of the valleypan gasket, so the oil from the turbo drains back to the lifter valley.
It reduced the oil in the intake, annd, I added a catch can a few years back. :D
Here is a pic. :cool:

Before someone says: "You do not want hot oil on the lifters"
I say:
-"I do not want it between the intake and valley pan either",
plus
-I don't think it will will cool down a lot either after is drips of the valley pan gasket
plus
-I have not seen any issues with the cam after 3 years of DD.
