Had up pipe, turbo shield and MAF pipe polished,,,,,question on hoses?

Had those pieces polished and was going back together and the up pipe was a beotch

When I tightened the hose from the intercooler to the uppipe it(the hose) bulged at the top and wasnt in full contact with the pipe. The clamp below it is tight so i guess dirt cant get past the clamp and harm the engine in anyway.

I tried to post pics but they were to big.

Ty replace the clamps with T-BOLT clamps, also make sure when tightening, the clamp is behind the lip on the intercooler pipe.
