harsh 2-1 downshift

When coasting and coming to a stop with light braking, I get harsh 2-1downshift sometimes with my 2004r. Is this typical with a built trans. The turbo 400 I had previously did the same thing. Universals are new and backlash is set to .008".

It is probably the 3-2 downshift if it takes place at around 15 mph. Its fairly common in a transmission with a bigger servo and no cushion spring. Even in a servo that retains the springs it will still give a nice bump on decel.

Thanks for the reply JD. It has Chris's servo and is setup per his manual. I'll listen to it more closely and see if its the 3-2.
