Not to piss in your Cheerios.... but the trashcan I/C scoop was mod #2 back in '87 already.;)

I believe mod #1 was to smash the FPR with a socket to raise fuel pressure.

hahahah you need to realise that i was born 2 years after that right. funny i though about it will sitting in the garage drinking a beer i suprised how good it looks i might re do it cuz its not perfect but i always have the other half of the garbage can if i smash it hahahaha

been thinking of making my tin man cold air intake by making a ken bell stylin incision in my grill an placing part of garbage can front bottom of air dam up to air filter to force more air up into filter any one ever try that one and doing similar on ps side with piping up to inside under hood to aid in more air flow i have a felling it been done just wonder if its worth it

Now that sounds new.... maybe?

Instead of jimmy-rigging duct work for cooler air to the engine bay, just remove the weatherstripping above the firewall/backside of hood. This will allow alot more cool air in (cowl induction effect at speed) & hot air out (slow speeds) than some tacky dryer ducting could ever dream of.;)

hello; I don't know how much air your looking to get but by just cutting the air dam next to the air filter of the tin man would work. It would be uncontrolled but it's more air.
have fun
I'd like to see what you come up with.

and later changed to a block of wood because the socket could rupture the regulator :)

I had to repair mine. Used some thin rolled sheet metal and pop rivets. It actually came out better than I expected.
