Well All I can say is this is what we are finding ....
I dont like the the T+ set up at all, and I also know I am not alone

I hear ya, maybe it has something to do with which software rev, which chip you run etc. Dunno. I wouldn't give mine up if you gave me a brand new TR MAF. :)

If you're unhappy with them, list them for sale and the 'gators will snap 'em up ;)

<thread hijack over>

Still not a mention of a scan tool used between the 3 cars to compare why your throttle response is better than the 2 buds with a Trans+. I bet fueling in the chip or vac leak, or bad IAC adjustment is the reason, not the Trans+ and LS1/LT1 MAF setup.... these things can be easily diagnosed and corrected with the help of a scan tool.

Undoubtably if you do the reasearch, the Trans/Trans+ and LT1/LS1 MAF setup is the proven way to go. Both of my cars are tuned perfectly, before and after the Trans+ install on the GN, and with the Trans+ it runs and feels the best all around.

All are using Scan masters and EGT gauges, a/f gauges, and one has a derict scan in it. (We can not all afford direct scan w/ a laptop :()

Well you need to come and help us then we have looked at and replaced vac. lines and hoses, god they even replaced some gaskets and everything is set to spec's from the site. All 3 cars see 740-810 and 1-4* of knock on most runs. All are running 17-19lbs of boost. on Ultra 94

Dont know what else to say.

ok, cool. What about fueling at part throttle and BLMs at idle, cruise, light accel, etc. Usually throttle response and spooling is directly affected most by fueling being incorrect if there are no vac leaks...(which can be verified by the idle BLMs) Considering that all 3 have the same turbo and are generally in the same condition and pull the same amount of vacuum at idle...which eliminates the possibility of a worn cam.

ScanMasters aren't a replacement for data logging, in that they only update about once a second.

Direct Scan isn't keyed to the car, you can swap that ecm, and DS from car to car (along with changing chips). Then you can in pretty good detail, look at what's going on.

Hate to say it, but there's some tuning problems in there somewhere. I've never heard of a T or T+ setup not running many times better than stock. Once the switches are set up properly and some rudimentary tuning is accomplished then it should outshine the stock setup.
My guess would be that there's still something not set quite right in the Translators on those two cars. They're missing something, and if I were still living in Ann Arbor I'd have been happy to run up and take a look. Can't now though :(

Hi Thunderace

I'm with these guys on the whole stumble / tip in thing. Are your buddies using extender chips with the T+ or other conventional types of chips? Extender chip has that user programmable "delta TPS tip in" and "delta TPS step in" that directly affect the acceleration enrichment quantity. I found that I had to lean mine out a bit to get a perfect tip in off idle. I also used the injector BLM offset feature to adjust the BLMs close to 128. But once all that was dialed in she has shown better driveability than ever.

I understand the ME-R chip also has similar user adjustable features but I dunno for sure....
